Interior and Municipalities Minister Nouhad al-Mashnouq visited Ziad Itani at his residence upon his release, saying that he “took on this issue with the full support of Prime Minister Saad Hariri and at the end the truth appeared.”
“Those who did wrong must apologize,” he noted.
Al-Mashnouq had congratulated Ziad Itani through a post on Twitter.
