Speaker Nabih Berri met Thursday with chairman of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Suma Chakrabarti in Ain al-Tineh, where they discussed cooperation with Lebanon.
Following the meeting, Chakrabarti said that they are cooperation with Lebanon in two main projects in the financial field, adding that they will be expecting further work with the banking sector over the few upcoming months, in addition to cooperation in the sector of energy and renewable energies, as well as investments in infrastructure.
He pointed out that he tackled with Speaker Berri the role of Lebanon in hosting large numbers of refugees, which poses a real challenge to the country.
