Uneasy calm prevails in Nahr al-Bared amid continued protest

Uneasy calm prevailed in Nahr al-Bared camp Sunday amid continued protest after a man was killed two days ago during clashes between the LAF and members of the camp.

Funeral services for the victim will be held on Monday after his father’s arrival from the West Bank.

Meanwhile, a coordination meeting was held between representatives of the Palestinian factions and the LAF in an attempt to calm the situation. Participants called for the formation of an LAF investigative committee, reducing security measures inside the camp and halting motorized and foot patrols.
