REPORT: Parliament convenes to tackle Budget 2018
Parliament resumed on Wednesday discussions over the state's Budget 2018 in an evening session under the chairmanship of Speaker Nabih Berr after adjourning the session for the afternoon.
 
During the session, MP Ibrahim Kanaan said that the budget draft law includes 55 articles distributed on 4 chapters.
 
He also added that two articles related to the age of retirement for military personnel and the compensation of judges assigned to public administrations.
 
For his part, MP Hassan Fadlallah said that the budget is being studied "under the pressure of time," adding that there is a flagrant imbalance in the calculations and restrictions."
 
Meanwhile, Former Health Minister Wael Abou Faour criticized the State Ministry for Combating Corruption, saying the ministry  has become a burden on the Lebanese state.
