Protesters storm into Jeb Jennine’s EDL building

Électricité Du Liban announced on Wednesday that a number of citizens rallied outside the company’s building in Jeb Jennine at 8:00 am, calling for an increase in power supplies.

EDL added that protesters began beating vehemently on the company’s main gate, threatening to break into the building.

The EDL explained that while the LAF was trying to defuse tension, one of the protesters jumped off the barrier and opened the gate so that all protesters stormed into the building. The power was temporarily cut off in order to preserve the safety of the protesters and equipment. The LAF then intervened and forced the protesters out of the building.

In this context, the EDL revealed that the power supplies will gradually improve as of next week.
