Al-Nour Square protesters to escalate pressure until Islamist detainees are released
Protesters at al-Nour Square in Tripoli blocked the road on Friday and declared that they will escalate their activity until all Islamist detainees are released.
The uproar had commenced when relatives of Sheikh Tarek Merhi blocked roads leading to the square, demanding his release.

Subsequently, the Liberation party organized a strike following Friday’s prayers near the Mansouri Great Mosque, calling for the expulsion of Syrian ambassador Ali Abdel Karim Ali.
