Speaker Berri: The nation is calling on you to vote

Speaker Nabih Berri addressed on Thursday the Lebanese people ahead of the parliamentary elections, urging them to massively vote.

“The nation is calling on you on Sunday May 6, so be the first ones to answer its call,” berry said in a statement.

Berri also urged his supporters to vote in favor of the AMAL Movement and his ally Hezbollah in order “to defend the constants of unity and coexistence, establishing the state of institutions and equal opportunities, fighting corruption and preserving Lebanon's strength that is translated in the Army-People-Resistance equation."

He also called on the Lebanese people to turn the elections into a true referendum because "patriotism is neither a slogan, nor profits or gains, nor it is subject to bargaining."
