Former Prime Minister Fouad Siniora asserted on Sunday that work must be done after the elections to rehabilitate the Lebanese state, Constitution and the rule of law."

“If we will not do so, we will be heading towards huge problems,” he added.

Siniora’s comments were made after casting his vote whereby he voiced conviction that Lebanon is capable of addressing these problems "in case the performance of the politicians were up to what the country’s difficult phase requires."

He concluded by congratulating the Lebanese people for this “democratic achievement,” calling on everyone to practice their rights.
