Minister of Interior Nouhad Machnouq said on Sunday that the country’s atmosphere “is calm until now.”

Machnouq’s comments were made after a meeting with Governor of South Lebanon Mansour Daou at Sidon Serail.

On another note, the minister voiced regrets for what happened with people with special needs inside the polling stations, adding that directives were given in order to facilitate their voting process.

He concluded by announcing that the voting turnout until present reached 25% until present with 15830 voters casting their votes until now.
