Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah delivers on Friday a televised speech to mark the Resistance and Liberation Day.

In his speech, Nasrallah noted that US sanctions will not have financial and material impacts on the group, adding that they are only a part of the psychological and moral pressure.

He also said that the Lebanese government is responsible towards citizens put on US terror lists, adding that it must not abandon them.

The US administration has issued new financial sanctions targeting the leadership of Hezbollah, which was set up in 1982.

Lebanon's government has previously lobbied Washington to avoid sanctions.

As for the formation of a new government, Nasrallah said that the group is calling for the swift formation of the government in order to tackle major files in the country, adding that developments in the region are in favor of Hezbollah.
