In a controversial post, the Lebanese Ambassador to the United States Gabriel Issa wrote on his Facebook account: “For those inciting Washington against the Lebanese Armed Forces, you have not chances in our existence, have mercy on yourselves.”
Ambassador Issa clarified in a statement to LBCI that some Lebanese parties have been publishing articles or exerting pressures through the US Congress, to review the US policy.
He added that “for them, the role of the Lebanese army is to disarm Hezbollah.”
“They say that since the army did not disarm Hezbollah, they should not provide aid,” he noted.
