Al-Khatib: Increase of plastic waste doubles burden on society
Caretaker Minister of Environment Tareq al-Khatib said on Friday that the high percentage of plastic waste that is produced annually increases doubles the burden on society, which requires special attention.
Al-Khatib’s comments were made while inspecting the Eco Plast plant in the region of Roumieh whereby he asserted that the ministry is paying close attention to the waste issue.
“The ministry has prepared an integrated waste management policy approved by the Cabinet on 11/01/2018,” he added.
