Al-Maliki calls for early elections in Iraq
Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki called Wednesday for early elections to be held in Iraq in order to put an end to the month-old crisis sweeping through the country, according to a statement published by his press office on Wednesday.

The statement that was published on the premier's website added that “when the other party refuses to sit at the table of negotiations and insists on the policy of provoking crises, the PM found himself compelled to call for early elections”.
