Gemayel: similarities with Tashnaq greater than differences

Head of the Kataeb Party Amin Gemayel declared on Thursday his support for President Michel Sleiman’s initiative which calls for the consensus of all Lebanese political parties on the principles of dialogue.

After meeting with a delegation from the Tashnag Party, Gemayel stressed on encouraging positive relations between the different Lebanese factions.

Commenting on past disagreements with the Tashnaq party, Gemayel said that common grounds are greater than quarrels.

For his part, Secretary General of the Tashnaq party Hovig Makhtarian stressed on the need of harboring solidarity between different political parties to pave the way for a constructive security and political climate.
