REPORT: A man killed during a fight over World Cup games

A man identified as M. Zaher was stabbed to death on Wednesday night by two of his neighbors while he was celebrating the victory of the Brazilian national team and the exit of the German national team from the World Cup 2018.

The murder took place in the Beirut southern suburb of Hay al-Sellom and was carried out by a man from the Chamas family and another one from the Brayteh family.

The victim hails from the southern town of Haris, while the two murderers hail from the northeast Lebanon town of Hermel.

This as the Lebanese Armed Forces announced on Thursday that it arrested one of the murderer.
