During a meeting with Governor of Lebanon Central Bank Riad Salameh on Thursday at Baabda Presidential palace, President Michel Aoun was briefed on the financial and economic situation in the light of reports available at the Lebanon Central Bank.
The governor clarified that the statistics show a 2% annual growth rate, noting that the monetary conditions are stable, stressing that everything beside that is based on false digital data.
He added that the deposits at Lebanese banks have been growing by a rate of 5% annually based on the current situation.
“Concerning the changes caused by the increase in global interest rates, Lebanon’s situation is stable,” he added.
