Caretaker Minister of Interior Nouhad Machnouq, Caretaker Minister of Energy Cesar Abi Khalil and Caretaker Minister of Economy Raed Khoury held on Tuesday a meeting to discuss the power generators’ crisis.

Following the meeting, the caretaker ministers held a joint press conference whereby Machnouq asserted that his ministry is ready to back any decision taken by the Economy Ministry to protect the consumers.

For his part, Khoury said that there is a decision to cooperate between all ministries to implement all decisions taken by the Economy Ministry for installing meters to prevent any sort of deception.

“Our goal is to implement the law,” he added.

This as Abi Khalil said that the Energy Ministry is dealing with this issue with a legal approach in order to protect the Lebanese citizens.

“We are determined to implement all decisions made regarding the generator crisis,” he concluded by saying.
