The Directorate General of Civil Aviation at Beirut International Airport held SITA Company completely responsible for the system failure that occurred at the airport on Thursday evening, causing chaos at the airport and affecting the travelers’ schedules.
The directorate said that it will preserve its right to take legal action against the company and compel it to pledge to take the necessary measures to prevent the recurrence of such incident.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation at Beirut International Airport had issued a statement overnight saying that “the system, created by aviation tech developer SITA, failed at 11 p.m.,” noting that said company provides similar services to 70 percent of the world's airports.
