Mikati meets with Kahwaji, Kortbawi and Australian Speaker

PM Najib Mikati met on Monday with Army Chief, General Jean Kahwaji to discuss the general security situation.

Separately, Mikati met with Justice Minister Chakib Kortbawi, who refused to answer any of the journalists’ questions regarding the referral of the case of Sheikh Abdel Wahed and Sheikh Merheb’s killing to the Judicial Council.

Later in the day, Mikati received Australian Speaker, Peter Slipper, in the presence of the Australian ambassador to Lebanon, Lex Bartlem, and they discussed their bilateral relations.
