STL registrar meets Lebanese officials
The United Nations Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) announced on Friday that its Registrar Daryl Mundis paid this week a work visit to Beirut where he met with top Lebanese officials.
He met with Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri and discussed with him a number of issues related to the Tribunal’s work.
Mundis also held talks with Caretaker Minister of Justice Salim Jreissati, Prosecutor General Samir Hammoud and diplomats in Lebanon.
This as Mundis attended on September 27 a seminar entitled: “Representing victims before International and Internationalized tribunals” organized by the tribunal with the participation of the Institute of Human Rights of the Beirut Bar Association.
A statement issued by the STL said that the registrar is responsible for all aspects of the Tribunal's administration including the budget, fundraising, human resources, security, organizational aspects of the court’s work, supervising the unit of victims participating in the procedures, witness protection and language services.
