Cabinet to continue budget revision on Wednesday

The cabinet will continue discussions of the 2012 draft budget on Wednesday during an open session set to approve the fiscal issue.

Following the session, Information Minister Walid Daouk said that session will be resumed on Wednesday in order to settle the issue of the draft budget , adding that "if the budget was approved on Wednesday, the cabinet will convene on Thursday afternoon in the Grand Serail in order to discuss the agenda that was due for discussion on July 4th".

As for the Tuesday's session, the cabinet finalized 29 out of 100 articles of the draft budget without revising article No. 31 related to financing the STL.

Prior to the session, President Sleiman and PM Mikati held a closed meeting to discuss latest developments.
