Future bloc holds cabinet responsible for how things turned out

The Future bloc said on Tuesday that withholding telecom data from security apparatuses is tantamount to “a decision to liquidate opposition figures and obstruct security apparatuses’ activity”.

The bloc held the cabinet responsible for how things turned out, accusing Hezbollah and its ally of sabotaging the communication network of the state and people and posing a threat to the safety of the people, particularly March 14 figures.

In its concluding remark, the bloc praised the cabinet’s recent decision to deploy army along the Syrian border, saying however that “the decision should have been taken earlier”.

The party's comments come in light of MP Boutros Harb's press conference held this morning in which the same remarks echoed throughout his statements. The communications data they speak of comes in relation to the assassination attempt which targeted the MP last Thursday.
