Boat heading to Cyprus illegally intercepted off Tripoli coast – PHOTOS

The UNIFIL Maritime Task Force handed out on Friday the Lebanese Maritime Forces a boat carrying 23 Syrians and one Lebanese that was heading to Cyprus illegally.

The boat was intercepted by the UNIFIL outside the Lebanese territorial waters off the coast of the northern city of Tripoli.

This as a military medical team with the participation of the Lebanese Red Cross examined the people that were on the boat.

An investigation was launched into the incident.
