March 14: Hiding telecommunications data provides political cover for criminals

March 14 General Secretariat said that by refusing to hand over the communication data, the government is providing a political and moral cover for the criminals attempting to assassinate political leaders like MP Boutros Harb in Badaro and LF leader Samir Geagea in Meerab.        

Accordingly, March 14 said it is holding necessary internal political contacts in this regard, as "abstaining from giving the data would expose Lebanon to the danger of assassinations."        

Following its weekly meeting, March 14 called for deploying the Lebanese Army across Lebanon, especially along the northern and eastern borders. March 14 reiterated its support for the Akkar residents’ demand to refer the case of Sheikhs Abdel Wahed and Merheb to the judicial council, in order to preserve the judicial credibility.   

Regarding Koura elections next Sunday, March 14 called on Koura residents to participate heavily in the sub-elections. March 14 voiced its support for Lebanese Forces candidate Fady Karam "as representing the trend of independence and sovereignty."
