“Strong Lebanon” bloc Secretary MP Ibrahim Kanaan stressed Tuesday that “their main concern after the elections is to reach fair and proportional representation in the cabinet, noting that they helped in resolving the obstacles in terms of deputy PM and the distribution of portfolios.
Following the bloc’s weekly meeting, Kanaan said that the Justice Ministry is not the issue, since it is among the share of the president, noting that in the absence of rotation, he has the right to have a tool for reform.
The deputy pointed out that the cabinet is for all the Lebanese people and is supposed to handle all the issues.
“The new demands are not right and we must face the challenges together, from Cedre to the waste crisis, electricity and education,” he said, adding that new legislations are being passed at the parliament.
