Sources close to the cabinet formation process stressed that “everyone agrees that the Lebanese Forces party was granted three things more than it deserves,” explaining that the president gave them the deputy PM position, Hariri gave them an additional portfolio and the Free Patriotic Movement gave them an additional ministerial seat.
Speaking to LBCI, the sources stated that “not one party is ready to give them anymore,” adding that the main portfolio remains pending in case Jumblatt agrees to give them the Education Ministry.
“The FPM, Hariri and President Aoun insist on the Lebanese Forces’ participation in the cabinet but the formation can no longer be delayed,” the sources said.
