President Michel Aoun discussed the ongoing contacts held regarding the cabinet formation, during a meeting with Greek-Melkite Catholic Patriarch of Antioch, Jerusalem, Alexandria, and all of the East Youssef al-Absi, accompanied by a delegation of bishops, at the presidential palace in Baabda.
Aoun stressed that solutions will be found for the obstacles hindering the formation of the cabinet, emphasizing that they will exert every possible effort in order resolve the issue.
In turn, Patriarch al-Absi said that “their sect is essential for stability, prosperity, openness and moderate dialogue,” adding that President Aoun will grant the sect what it deserves in the cabinet.
