Member of “Strong Lebanon” bloc MP Alain Aoun declared Sunday that they are looking for a formula to reach a solution for the Sunni obstacle, explaining that the Free Patriotic Movement is the only party working on this matter.
In a statement to LBCI’s Nharkom Said, he stressed that “March 8 forces have the right to an additional minister,” adding that Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri, Hezbollah and March 8 forces must work to resolve the Sunni issue.
“The current contacts aim at alleviate the tension,” he explained.
Aoun pointed out that if one standard had been set for the formation, all the blocs would have been satisfied without any obstacles.
On another note, MP Aoun explained his statement when he compared Hezbollah to a lion, stating that he was slammed by Lebanese Forces supporters across social media platform due to said comparison.
Addressing LF chief Samir Geagea, he said that “whoever is keen on the Christian reconciliation must work on calming their electronic army.”
“The comparison is not personal or general,” noting that the excess of power that Hezbollah has could harm the party sometimes.
“Hezbollah is a major force in the country that could worry people, this is why the party must improve its relations with the people to gain their confidence,” he clarified.
