Following the steps of the Kataeb party, the Progressive Socialist Party proposed a draft law to cancel the yearly compensations paid for former presidents and deputies as well as to reduce the allocations of the incumbent deputies to half the current amounts.
This comes in a bid to reduce the burdens imposed on the treasury and to reform the systems of retirement.
