Eight companies and groups of firms presented bids to establish 3 floating stations in al-Baddawi, Salaata and al-Zahrani, known as Floating Storage Regasification Unit (FSRU), to provide the power plants with gas along the Lebanese coast, through pipelines.
The works on this project were supposed to be launched in 2012, including one station, but in 2017, it was extended to include three stations.
