Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Beshara Boutros Rai prayed Tuesday for stability in Lebanon and the formation of a new cabinet, as well as peace across the Middle East countries, the return of the displaced and refugees to their home countries as a preservation of their civil rights and national culture and history.
In his holy sermon delivered during Christmas Mass in Bkerke in the presence of President Michel Aoun, Rai said that the Lebanese people has been waiting for the government to be formed for 7 months, stressing that those who have hearts void of love and humanitarian emotions have stifled the holiday joy.
Addressing President Aoun, Rai said: “We ask God to bless your moves and increase your wisdom in ruling this beloved nation amid all the political, economic and social difficulties surrounding it and the repercussions of the neighboring wars and conflicts.”
