Hariri inspects security measures on New Year’s Eve

Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri said on Monday that the Lebanese Armed Forces "is one of the most important institutions that provide stability to the country."

Hariri’s comments were made during his tour to inspect the security measures taken on New Year’s Eve.

Hariri’s tour started from the Defense Ministry where he was received by Caretaker Minister of Defense Yaacoub Sarraf.

Hariri noted that the decisions of Cedre conference and the Rome II donor conference “will be implemented for sure.”

For his part, Sarraf thanked Hariri for "his continuous support to the military."
