Guidanian after meeting with Asmar: Failure to commit to tomorrow’s strike signifies indifference

Caretaker Tourism Minister Avedis Guidanian met with General Labor Confederation head Beshara Asmar, where he expressed his support and solidarity with the call to hold general strike on Friday.

Guidanian said that “failing to commit to tomorrow's strike signifies outright nonchalance," noting that it is not possible to remain bogged down in this situation.

“Everyone knows that we are on the brink of an abyss, and the situation is no longer tolerable," he added, stating that the formation of the cabinet means Lebanon’s continued presence on the tourism map.
