Free Syrian Army press officer to LBCI:Senior Iranian officer killed in Damascus bombing

The press officer of the Free Syrian Army’s joint command Fahad al-Masri told Nharkom Said on Saturday that the Syrian people is now paying the price of freedom for both Lebanon and Syria.

Al-Masri called on the Lebanese state to assume its moral responsibility towards the Syrian people “who are going through tough times”. He stressed that Syrians will not forget Lebanon’s stances on Syria.

Al-Masri confirmed that the Free Syrian Army managed to take control of 98% of the Deir al Zour province, adding that the Syrian army will not be able to recover the crossings and ports with Turkey and Iraq, already taken by the opposition.

The officer pointed out that the Syrian regime did not reveal the names of all the victims that fell in Damascus’ bombing, adding that the Syrian authorities did not uncover the identity of the senior Iranian officer that was killed in this bombing.
