Harb: I will not keep silent on the attempt to assassinate me

MP Boutros Harb stressed on Saturday that he will not keep silent on the attempt to assassinate him, adding that he has nothing to do with contacting Hezbollah. “This is the responsibility of the official security and judicial apparatuses in charge of investigations”.

Harb told Voice of Lebanon radio that the government is still not handing over sufficient data to the concerned apparatuses, adding that if the government really wants to defuse strife in Lebanon, it should deal with these issues seriously.

Harb announced that he will personally accuse the government of facilitating crimes and encouraging the killing of politicians in Lebanon if it keeps hiding the requested data.

On dialogue, Harb said “We did not obstruct the dialogue; Hezbollah and Change and Reform bloc leader Michel Aoun were the ones who obstructed the dialogue under the pretext of false witnesses among other issues”.
