The situation at Beirut International Airport returns once again to the forefront with the fragility of its security situation, with an incident that cannot pass unnoticed.
It all started when a traveler got her boarding pass and passed the General Security checkpoint at the airport, without her or the security forces noticing that she was holding her sister’s passport instead of hers. They also failed to notice the difference in names between the passport and the boarding pass.
What failed to be clocked by security was flagged by a cabin crew at the door of the plane, banning the passenger from boarding and asking her to return with her passport after informing the security of the incident.
Consequently, the investigations kicked off.
