After LBCI aired two reports on smuggling routes that are causing the State Treasury $600 million in losses, the Lebanese Armed Forces closed on Wednesday several illegal border crossing points along the Lebanese-Syrian borders, in a bid to confront smuggling from and into the Lebanese territories.
The crossing points that were closed are located in the regions of Hawsh al-Sayyed Ali and al-Mecherfe in northern Bekaa.
