Aoun: Jumblatt could serve as a perfect tour guide in Damascus

Change and Reform bloc MP Alain Aoun denied on Wednesday recent statements made by PSP leader MP Walid Jumblatt regarding his alleged visit to Damascus and the handover of a letter to Syrian authorities.

Aoun said that these “[fabrications] are a proof of the state of confusion that some politicians live in, due to the ambiguity and vagueness of regional playoffs”.

Aoun sarcastically promised Jumblatt to conduct his first visit to Syria in his company “given his deep acquaintance with its streets, palaces, intelligence bureaus and officials. He could serve as a [perfect] guide in that visit,” he added.

Commenting on allegations that Aoun has handed over a letter to Damascus regarding his party’s alliance with Hezbollah, the latter recalled that this alliance was created by an “internal will and shall only end thereby".
