Berri calls for resorting to dialogue to contain escalation

Following Wednesday’s parliamentary meeting, Speaker Nabih Berri was quoted as saying: “the difficult and critical situation in Lebanon and the region requires that all the Lebanese resort to dialogue as a means to reduce further escalation”.

He stressed the importance of protecting the general situation against any repercussions resulting from regional events, however added that “authorities should deal with vital issues with more keenness and responsibility”.

Berri headed a joint meeting between the Parliamentary office committee and various committee heads.
