Rai: preparations for regional confessions meeting underway
Maronite Patriarch Bechara Rai said on Friday that Lebanon is affected by regional incidents, adding that the country is now suffering due to the “Sunni-Shiite” division worldwide. "The divide affects the Lebanese, both Sunni and Shi'ite since they prioritize their confessions’ interests," he stressed.      

Through an interview with an Italian newspaper Rai said that a meeting between the region’s different confessions is under preparation.        

On Syria, Rai wondered “how can we discuss the alleged Syrian at a time when dozens and hundreds perish every day?”
