Prime Minister Saad Hariri stressed Tuesday that Lebanon shares the same values with the European Union, and seeks to preserve these values.
During the inauguration of the new headquarters of the European Union mission in Lebanon in the presence of High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini, Hariri pointed out that the EU has supported Lebanon’s independence and sovereignty and is Lebanon’s partner in prosperity and growth.
For her part, Mogherini noted that Europe is close to the Lebanese people.
“We work daily to support the civil society and Lebanon could be the most European Arab country,” she added.
