Standard & Poor's revises Lebanon's outlook to negative

International ratings agency Standard & Poor's revised Lebanon’s outlook to negative from stable late Friday night, but kept “its 'B-/B' long- and short-term foreign and local currency sovereign credit ratings.”

The agency expected that the foreign security threats will remain high in Lebanon and that the traditional growth engines, such as tourism and real estate, will also remain weak.

S&P said that “the formation of the cabinet must improve the trust of the investors, which must support the needs for governmental funding for 2019.”
