Advisor to Prime Minister Saad Hariri, former MP Ammar Houri said that the invitation to the Brussels conference came from the European Union, noting that Hariri’s speech will be based on the content of the government’s Policy Statement.
In a statement to LBCI’s Nharkom Said, Houri stressed the need for the ministers not to ignore what has been agreed on in the Policy Statement and for them to work on strengthening Lebanon’s position.
On another note, Houri said that the Syrian regime has not been deploying efforts for the refugees’ return, pointing out that the Syrian ambassador to Lebanon did not visit any refugee camp.
