Two lists compete in Maronite League elections

Voting started on Saturday morning to elect the president and members of the executive council of the Maronite League at the “Forum de Beyrouth.”

 

The league’s members who have settled their subscription fees started arriving to cast their ballots.

 

The candidates running for the league’s presidency are Neemtallah Abi Nasr, Ghassan al-Khoury and Roukoz Feghaly, while the candidates running for the vice-presidency are Mtanios al-Halabi and Michel Karam.

 

The candidates for the membership of the executive council are Sejaan Jabbour, Edgard Antoun Merheb Harb, Antoine Mikhael, Boulos Francis Karam, George Ibrahim al-Hajj, George Elias Bashir, Joseph Elias Neemeh, Joseph Emil Kreker, Hatem Rashid Hatem, Dori Jihad Saqr, Rami Samir Chidiac, Robert Marcel, Richard Fawzi Rouhana Feghaly, Remond Nicolas Azar, Cendrella Samir Abou Fayyad Saqr, Sylvie Edward Dagher Fadlallah, Tony Rameh Menhem, Abdo Romanos Gerges, Fadi Joseph Abou Rahhal, Farid Geroge Saadeh, Karim Henry Tarabay, Masaad Kabalan Fares, Mounir Badih Sfeir, Micheline Antoine Khwes Abou Samra, Nabil Antoine Karam, Nathalie Amon al-Khoury, Nada IssamAbdel Sater Abou Samra, Nouha Salim Chartouni, Wissam Antoine Bou Habib and Youssef Chikrallah Younes.

 

The candidates were divided into two lists, one headed by Abi Nasr and another headed Ghassan Joseph al-Khoury.
