The issue of medical waste accumulated at hospitals in the southern city of Tyre, which was raised by LBCI during Sunday’s bulletin, was being addressed for weeks by the Health Ministry.
The ministry was following up with both the company handling the waste treatment and the municipality of al-Abbassieh.
