Minister of Telecommunication Mohammad Chouccair stressed on Tuesday that officials must work within a clear vision for the future.

Chouccair’s comments were made during a conference entitled: “Toward a sustainable tourism” whereby he noted that plans and guidelines must be translated into concrete actions.

“We must proceed in implementing the infrastructure projects of Cedre conference,” he added.

For his part, Minister of Tourism Avedis Guidanian representing Prime Minister Saad Hariri said that lessons are drawn from the private sector.

This as President of Lebanon's Socio-Economic Council Charles Arbid said that the current year was full of work.

Later in the day, Pm Hariri said during an open discussion at the conference that tourism is one of the most productive sectors in Lebanon.
“The problem is that we drove tourists away with our political disputes,” he added.
Hariri also stressed the need to invest in tourism, pointing out that political stability contributes to the improvement of tourism.
“This country cannot work unless we work with each other,” he concluded by saying.
