Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil posted Thursday a tweet, whereby he said that “the statement of State Secretary Pompeo before the congress regarding the refugees is an advanced step confirming that an honest and bold dialogue and a clear national position are the closest paths to achieve national interest.”
“The battle to defend the presence and entity is long and difficult, but our will is stronger and firmer; the return to take place safely and with dignity,” he added.
