Inspection ongoing at Samaha’s Achrafiyeh residence

The residence of former minister and MP Michel Samaha in Achrafiyeh witnessed an wide inspection operation. The ISF's Information Division raided Samaha's house and began inspecting since the early morning, in the presence of the lawyer Elias Abou Mansour and Samaha’s three daughters.

In this context, the former minister’s daughter Rana Samaha told LBCI that around ten people raided the house at 7 in the morning and started an accurate search process. The member of Hezbollah political office Mohammad Afif and former General Jamil Sayyed were present outside the house and condemned the arrest.

Former General Jamil al-Sayyed described the way Samaha was arrested as a "violation", adding that a respectable security apparatus, such as the army intelligence, should have dealt with Samaha.

The Information Division members are still at Samaha’s house, while some documents and files were confiscated.
