Member of the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Ali Fayyad stressed their rejection to any measure affecting the salaries, in remarks he made at the margins of the Finance and Budget Committee meeting.
He noted that “such measures would be illogical and unfair,” stressing the need to take into consideration the contracts made between the state and the employees, whether they were civilians or military personnel.
“We refused any revenue tax to be imposed on retirement salaries and we requested to keep this matter away from the Article 22,” he explained, adding that the discussions will continue.
He reiterated Hezbollah’s position rejecting any measure affecting low-income citizens.
