Daher: Mikati and Jumblatt must resign from a cabinet that protects murderers

In the aftermath of the arrest of former Minister Michel Samaha for charges pertaining to plotting terrorist attacks and assassinations under the command of the Syrian regime, MP Khaled Daher held a press conference at his residence in Tripoli on Sunday, where he condemned Samaha and Assad's rule and called for the expulsion of the Syrian ambassador to Lebanon. Daher urged PM Najib Mikati and MP Walid Jumblatt “to wash their hands clean from an administration that he described as murderous".         

The shocking developments in the past week provoked Daher to call on the state to file a complaint with the United Nations against Syria and refer Samaha's case to the international tribunal.        

"I call again upon PM Najib Mikati not to cover-up for a cabinet that protects culprits and murderers”, Daher stated, urging the Premier to protect his country by resigning.               

"These difficult times require tough and responsible decisions," he said, addressing both Mikati and MP Walid Jumblatt.
